Ever since last weeks tornado here in the Tristate, more people in Southwest Indiana may be considering investing in a tornado shelter.

One family in Posey County has enough close calls to arrange for a shelter to be built on their property.

It only took the installation crew from Integrity Storm Shelters a couple of hours to put in but what it provides is a lifetime of a peace of mind.

After a tornado ripped through Southwest  Indiana the night of February 28th, Dan McKinneys phone has been ringing off the hook.

McKinney says when a dangerous storm strikes, a shelter or safe house is really your best option.

“I do know a couple that was killed by being sucked out of they’re basement and also if you’re down there and you have no protection it can lift up your house and drop stuff on top of you.”

With this new shelter comes safety and peace of mind.

Taylor says, “Knowing that we’re safe regardless of whether we lost our house or not, that’s the most important thing.” See more…
